Looking at that document again, a few things seemed strange to me. Wrong spelling of Belvedere, but very detailed and well-written description of some options, for example.
Plus, this is not an order sheet, it's a window sticker blank, used. These window price labels came out only into the 59 model year. It was then that I remembered that this car was discussed here at length some time ago:

Chromed valve covers and air cleaners, altenator, tacho, "Fury-code", swivel seats, 59' Dodge crab hubcaps, "should-have" manual trans with large clutch - this is a clone and should be marketed as a clone.
This is someones special car, made up as imagined, but "wrong" as for oem specs and value

While most of the option codes listed are correct, card column 58 normally refers to batteries. In this case, 582 is the code for a 60 amp dry charge battery. The 350 engine appears to be coded as 374. Card column 37 normally refers to fuel injection!! I'm surprised it isn't offered as a " fuellie"!!
Code 399 normally refers to suregrip with no ratio specified. The actual ratio would be coded separately.

He says it was only available in buckskin beige which is why there is a $100 charge for the black paint. The engine in it now is said to be a 413, not a 440 and the HD radiator is suggested as insurance against overheating due to the engine upgrade.

No, he states the radiator is there to offer assurance, not insurance. And even if he did say insurance, I've never heard of a radiator offering compensation in the event the car overheated.
Now, if it were me, I'd want an HD radiator in place to ENSURE there were no problems with overheating.

Also note all the options on the window sticker are to the nearest dollar. My 60,dodge Phoenix's original window stickers options all end in cents like 210.70 for the torqueflite or 33.35 fo the 750 14 rayon ww tires.

The window stickers were legislated in March 1958 to come out for the 1959 model year vehicles as of September 1, 1958. This window sticker isn't legit.

Even if this so-called "retail price label" was legit;
Code 582 was NOT a Fury trim code.
Code 374 did NOT reference a carbureted engine.
Code 399 did NOT specify a 3.54 axle ratio.
I agree that a fat checkbook could order very unique and special stuff but even Liberace couldn't order a car with erroneous option codes printed on a sheet from the factory!!
Aside from any of this, I would LOVE to own that car!

The 58 Plymouth convertible I pulled out of the brambles in a corner of
Ray's Auto Wrecking in 1989 was black, wore Fury badges, and last ran
with a 300D engine under the hood. All this was done to a brand new 58
Belvedere.
It was not at all uncommon back then for guys to strip out wrecking yard
cars and put the goodies on their drivers to fancy them up.

Hey, I like good stories as much as the next guy. I'm not tossing my hat into the ring to buy this car! But, don't quote code numbers without the factory punch card to back them up. Otherwise someone here could challenge them!
Remember, the factory punch card will show the "numbers". The "interpretation" of these numbers is the kicker!

I am pretty neutral when it comes to being a purist vs. period
(or close to period) modifications. But when it comes to Garlick
type stories for the purpose of being some sort of "bigshot" or
squeezing extra money out of some fool who buys into the bull,
it isn't just a laughable fool, but a downright fraud BY a laughable
fool.
This car is pretty neat. Personally, I'd lose the Fury gold and
emblems, build the drivetrain around a 4bbl 383, and get some
proper Super Cushions under it and just enjoy the hell out of it.
I just can't get my head around fabricating all this story and paper
.... does someone think they are impressing people with it ? Is
there anyone out there today that doesn't know about Google and
that world wide web thing ? C'mon ! ....
