Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | So since its a clone... I have color options? This is like 2 years away but what is the "ultimate" color combo for a regal? I keep coming up with alot of "NFL" team colors which i dont really want. Red and Black? red stripe on white car?

Location: Parts Unknown | I am with Sid, a color combo using the subtle pastels have far more "WOW" power when it all combines with a great body than loud colors. Loud colors are excessive and just look trashy, ... or flashy for flashy sake. Cars like these don't need loud colors to show off.

Location: The Mile High City | The top image looks a lot like the spring color "Frosted Turquois" - very nice. I don't know if that's what the Frostbite was aiming for. Combinations with metallic gold might look nice - although they might turn out looking like you just missed the copper color. I keep thinking silver, copper, or gold - but I am not wild about silver. Sand metallic is close to copper, but not right for this car. Eggshell with Paris Rose Metallic accents might be nice...

Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | Dad had a '57 Royal Lancer 4HT in Turquois and black. It sure got a lot of attention and favorable comments. It would be one of my favorites but it's your car and your money, so I suggest you paint it the way you want it - you are the one to satisfy! The car will still be a beauty. Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | No I will im just trying to get suggestions, I like the aqua. I find it helps to see the car before hand complete to get motivated I hate going "well the body work is done... What color should I paint it". I want that determined well before I start.

Expert Posts: 1906 Location: Ontario, Canada | Now, there is an interesting car! 58 Dodge, with 57 or VERY early 58 mirrors, a Regal grill medallion and 58 (not Regal) hood ornaments!!! Someone had a neat bag of parts along with the fortitude to paint the headlight doors and enter it and win in an AACA show. Great story and I like the colours!! Expert Posts: 3155 Location: NY & VT | Moonstone Grey (a very warm grey) and Metallic Charcoal almost black) were the colors of my Grandpa's CRL hardtop... very understated and classy. Since 1957 I've never seen another '57 hardtop in that combo. If I can ever find and buy a '57 4 dr hardtop like his it would be painted that color. http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1957-Dodge-pg01....
