Elite Veteran Posts: 1144 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Blackpool, United Kingdom. | Hi Mike, No this is early 383 B block , 350 361 383 400 , the RB 383 was the later engine same as the 440 So this is a B block 383 with engine number on right under distributor ,8 bolt threaded crank flange ,it originally came out of a Facel vega with cast iron torqueflite, Thanks Paul.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7547 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: northern germany | i need a 383 but i guess shipping would be the killer and as i need a t-flite and 8.3/4 axle too buying a parts car is probably cheaper.

And sid, i'm pretty sure shipping is cheaper than from the US...? yes, but i need a transmission and axle too, so a parts car is the way to go. buying and shipping a transmission and axle separately from the US is going to cost more than a complete car and since i have to buy a parts car anyway, it makes no sense to ship an engine from the UK. ![]()

Elite Veteran Posts: 1144 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Blackpool, United Kingdom. | Update on engine , had to use the rods and rocker shafts on my 350 , so engine can be split for parts if anyone needs anything , Sid and Nikolas if you want to club together and get someone to collect it may be better for you both ? Does not seem to be the interest over here anymore and rather it go to someone who can use it , than it go in the scrap pile i can keep it here for a while for you. Paul. Elite Veteran Posts: 1144 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Blackpool, United Kingdom. | Hi Sid, Rods are same part number as my 350 , just was easier to take the full set of rods and use them as 2 of my 350 ones are out of round due to spun bearings , so there are 6 good rods with it and I cannot find my rocker shafts as engine been in bits 4 years , I know what you're saying but over here this is just a worthless lump of scrap iron , that's why I would sooner give it away than send to scrap , it's not in way at moment , but cannot keep the stuff forever , Paul.
