Expert Posts: 2788 Location: USA - KY | ...incase anyone needs reference photos: - Vintage Mark Mark IV underdash unit - the lowest settings cool the car just fine. - there was a lot of work involved when it came to getting the proper pulleys and brackets, but it all came together in the end. - I've recently heard that Vintage Air might be coming up with a compressor that will be "retro-style" in appearance. It might just be a rumour, but it would be nice if it's true. . Expert Posts: 2788 Location: USA - KY | If you're referring to the photos that I've posted, the yellow stuff is just padding to keep clumsy folk such as myself from scraping my shins on exposed metal. I am sooooo accident prone - my old car must be littered with my DNA by now from all of the scratches and scrapes I've received during my resto and detailing attempts. Happy resto-ing!

Look closer, there are 2 belts going over the compressor, so the back belt is running the genny and water pump (not sure I like the idler set up), the front belt is running the power steering Mine is more like 57CHIZLERS, in that only 1 belt on the compressor and that belt does the compressor and power steering, although I dont have power steering, so I have an idler pulley for adjustment and my compressor is on the other side of the carbies as mine is the later poly, not the dodge poly

Expert Posts: 3780 Location: NorCal | The compressor bracket on my 325 Poly is home made from 1/4" steel plate mounted to two existing threaded holes in the water pump housing. (Compressor Bracket (Small).JPG) Attachments ---------------- Compressor Bracket (Small).JPG (167KB - 315 downloads)
