I was re-reading the book and found the HY-6241-J reference. I did some digging on the internet, and as far as I could tell, there is no plate like it. I made a design, and here it is. Kind of a fun project!
Search 191990259847 on eBay and you can see the listing. Edited by Lancer Mike 2016-10-07 11:25 PM (Christine Book License Plate.jpg) Attachments ---------------- ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: The Centennial State | Thanks, David! I did a bit of research on the 1978 PA plates, and they don't really lend themselves to the book number HY-6241-J because of the center keystone. I had to "wing it" a bit by placing the H over the Y on the left side, but I think it works.

Better watch out though, the people who seem to have a problem with red and white cars might get on their soapbox YET again...

I amped it up just a little with the THUMP EM TERRIERS bumper sticker. That there is an obscure Christine reference for you! https://www.ebay.com/itm/195607136823 Edited by Lancer Mike 2023-02-21 10:04 PM

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: The Centennial State | Ha! Yes, the movie is undoubtedly more popular. Does the 1956 plate even make sense though? I guess you could buy a 1958 Plymouth as early as what? Maybe September 1957? Assuming that plate was on Christine since new, wouldn't it be a 1957 plate? You probably couldn't get a custom-ordered red 1958 Fury sedan until at least 1958 (ha, ha, ha). That would be a heck of a custom order! I went with the design of a 1978 Pennsylvania plate because the book takes place between the summer of 1978 and the winter of 1979.
