Location: Twin Cities MN | Am keeping block, rods and crank for use converting a 315 hemi with bad crank to 325 hemi. The 315 is already bored .040 and missing a couple more rods used on another project.
The 325 poly is a 2 barrel intake, no carb or exhaust manifolds. No power steering or brakes, generator or starter.
I won't need the Poly heads, rockers, valve covers, pushrods, cam, lifters, intake, water pump housing with pump..
325 engine had one stuck piston, but no rusty cylinders and block and crank are still standard. The top end still looks ok beyond covered in sludge. Cam and lifters look to be in real good condition, so thought I would see if anyone needs any of this poly stuff before I toss it all in the granary and forget what it is.
Also have intact windshield and back glass (4 door sedan 57 Firesweep) along with original well-preserved gaskets and most of the stainless trim for both. I took my time removing them primarily as a practice exercise to later remove same on my 57 Dodge D500 2 door hardtop without damaging any of its expensive parts. Probably not much of a market for those glasses being for a 4 door sedan, but might as well see..
Have all 4 DeSoto doors with glass still in them too. Solid doors with tight seams and not rusted out on the bottoms either. No outer door handles or any exterior or interior chrome trim besides windshield and stainless trim from interior door panels. Have no bumpers, but have good DeSoto left fender and the sheet metal valance behind front bumpers is in good shape. It was a South Dakota rurally driven car, so compared to Minnesota cars, it had a comparatively sound body. Floors and trunk floor were still rusted out though and some lower body rust. Keeping the Firesweep rolling chassis intact for now until I see what chassis parts I might need for the Dodge. Located in Minnesota. Thanks, Mike |
