Trick question: A North American 55 Chrysler (and Dodge and Desoto) used a different power brake system (Bendix) than what you are showing so I don't know what you have. But there is a good chance that the chrome one would work. Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Looks similar to my 56 Dodge vacuum tank too. The issue will be the size and location of the "feet"/brackets on the two tanks. That is assuming you have to have the bling.

Variations that would need to be considered are: Volume - obviously a significantly smaller tank would not be able to supply the required volume of "not air" to effectively operate the brake booster. Fitting size - not only do you want your hoses to be able to connect, you don't want the fittings to create a restriction. Other than that, if the volume is appropriate (too big is fine) and the fittings don't present a concern, if you can mount it and connect it, it will work. The only operational component is the check valve, and all check valves are the same - flows one way, doesn't flow the other. Gregg
