Regular Posts: 62 Location: arizona | the back is lowered 3". im letting pb blaster work its magic on the torsion bar hardware before i crank the front down. the rockers are solid but the rear quarter is rotted out and so is the bottom of the decklid. and the floor boards need some lovin. and the front fenders need some hammer and dolly work.

Location: Parts Unknown | One FL car I could really dig is exactly what you have there ... a boring beige 61 Pioneer 4 door sedan. So unsexy it is just awesome ! I never liked the add-on tail lights, so those would have to go. I'd run blackwalls and dog dishies to play up the stripper/boring statement, but damm ... that is cool. Love it ! Nice project. The '61 Dodge is likely my favorite from '61 with it's very unique frumpy style. Rather than frenching in the uppper taillights, I think it would look better and compliment the style if you were to extend the lower taillights close to the license plate along the bottom valence. I think that would look pretty good that way and not detract from the unique fin structure as much as frenching the uppers would. Oh...and I would also just sand that rust down a bit and clear coat it. A rusty looking 4dr sedan with power & handling would have a cool factor all it's own. Regular Posts: 62 Location: arizona | I was driving the car daily for a while, the then ammeter smoke show happened.so that was a wrench in the spokes. But I knew I needed to get it going again. So I yarded all the wiring out so we can start from scratch. Then covid hit and I was out of work and low on funds. So doing big upgrades wasn't gonna happen for a while. So I pulled the front clip apart to paint and clean up in the mean time (RDT_20211213_0308216078961789718520531.jpg) (RDT_20211213_0308044933572620697305589.jpg) (RDT_20210920_1009559053215110309970874.jpg) Attachments ---------------- RDT_20211213_0308216078961789718520531.jpg (130KB - 150 downloads) RDT_20211213_0308044933572620697305589.jpg (190KB - 145 downloads) RDT_20210920_1009559053215110309970874.jpg (116KB - 149 downloads)

Regular Posts: 62 Location: arizona | Once I got back to work I ordered a brake booster, and it's been down hill from there since. That was around May of 2021. Then i starting hitting junkyards and ordering parts. Bought a set of aspen spindles in Fresno, john at big M had a deck lid for me, found a nice 8.25 rearend from a 73 Cuda out near bakersfield.. then i ordered an 9+3 wiring harness from rebel wire. So the car is rewired now, brakes are all plumbed, and no I just need to finish getting the front end together so it's drivable again (20211201_235431.jpg) (20211202_005544.jpg) (20211202_124042.jpg) (20211202_175806.jpg) (20211204_114937.jpg) (20211204_120053.jpg) (20211204_122627.jpg) (20211204_130505.jpg) (20211204_130821.jpg) (20211204_235108.jpg) (20211202_163031.jpg) (20211201_185933.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 20211201_235431.jpg (179KB - 147 downloads) 20211202_005544.jpg (168KB - 150 downloads) 20211202_124042.jpg (181KB - 157 downloads) 20211202_175806.jpg (255KB - 151 downloads) 20211204_114937.jpg (189KB - 151 downloads) 20211204_120053.jpg (202KB - 152 downloads) 20211204_122627.jpg (200KB - 141 downloads) 20211204_130505.jpg (173KB - 149 downloads) 20211204_130821.jpg (140KB - 146 downloads) 20211204_235108.jpg (212KB - 142 downloads) 20211202_163031.jpg (146KB - 142 downloads) 20211201_185933.jpg (166KB - 139 downloads)

Here is the album of my work so far.. https://photos.app.goo.gl/GH9yzqWR4Dw6cKCL8 An ammeter/wiring fire sidelined my car in 1975. My parents bought it in 1969, and when it quit I was only 11 and couldn't help my dad much. I rescued it from a friend's salvage yard about 4 years ago.
