Expert Posts: 1267 Location: San Antonio TX | Claims that the VIN is 'verified' and is 1 of 12 that left the factory in this configuration. Doesn't specify how complete the car is. No idea what this thing is worth as is or restored. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/1961-dodge-d500-crossram/6520147799.html

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | GregCon - 2018-03-11 9:12 AM Stick? I'm seeing a automatic-equipped brake pedal And more importantly perhaps, no clutch pedal. That said, I see neither a column shifter mechanism or a hole in the transmission hump *OR* any sign of pushbuttons. Conclusion: This car is magic.

Expert Posts: 2289 Location: Eastern Iowa | How would you, or anyone for that matter, know it was/is one of 12 or whatever number you would care to state, IF you did not have access to ALL the 61 Dodge build cards to research. I doubt the Chrysler archives, or whoever one gets that data from now, would do that kind of search. Edited by finsruskw 2018-03-11 11:54 AM

That said, I see neither a column shifter mechanism or a hole in the transmission hump *OR* any sign of pushbuttons. Conclusion: This car is magic. The place where the stick would be is there I think; it's that circular thing coming out the side of the hump like the Chrysler floor shift. That said, no clutch pedal AND no push buttons is mystifying. I tried to find a pic of a 61 Dodge with a floor shift, but only found a pic of a 62 880 with a floor shift. Seller needs to post more info and pics of this thing, especially at that price; extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Edited by drosera88 2018-03-11 12:41 PM

Neat car @tailfins I don't think anyone was bashing it. Everyone was just pointing out how a few things seemed out of place and not right. I even pointed out where the shifter was. For a car that's as rare as this, you gotta expect that people are going to scrutinize the heck out of it.
