Hi all, Background: I am reinstalling my engine after a rebuild. The transmission is in the car resting loosely. The whole front clip is off the car. Since the rubber motor mount isolators are an eccentric circle I understand this allows adjusting the engine position on the frame. But the shop manual and the posts in the forum have not been helpful in figuring out exactly what the alignment should be. I have attached a description of the procedure from the manual which I cannot decipher. 1) What rotational position inside the motor mount cups should the rubber pieces start out in? Should they push the motor up, down, left, or right? level or tilted? Or do you just play with the adjustment to ensure the engine and transmission alignment is true? In the image, it APPEARS that the meat of the rubber goes UP and the hollow part goes DOWN. 2) The manual also says to use some sort of cement. What would you use? There doesn’t appear to have been any type of glue in there before although I’m not positive they were original. thanks!
