Hello,

Kind of a dumb question, i just want to be sure, but how do you adjust the throttle and thereby "kick down" linkage?

I have a 440 with thermoquad and a 1964 tf727 in the car with the original linkage.

Take a look at this thread for some detailed info. https://www.bigblockdart.com/forum/showthread.php?17067-Anyone-know-...

You would be adjusting the kickdown only. I don't think there is an adjustment for the throttle other than on the carb.

You probably have to start by adjusting the angle of the pedal to the floorboard.
This info should be in the FSM for your car.

I assume this is in your '59 Sierra? Since neither that motor or trans were available in '59, what linkage is "original"?

The '59 throttle linkage opens the carb by pushing on the bottom of the carb lever while the TQ is pulled open from the top of the carb lever. It might take some creative fabricating to get the leverage ratios correct.

As for the transmission linkage, the basic setup is to have the transmission lever full forward with the carb at curb idle and the lever near full back at WOT.
