Subject: 413 Distributor 180 degrees out

From the diagrams Im looking at, like the one below, my distributor appears 180 degrees out.
Does it matter??

 

On my 413, #1 is where #6 is in the diagram above as is the lead of course.

Does it matter?

Its obviously been like this for many years, and someone inserted the tang 180 out and just rewired the leads, maybe been like that most of its life.

Looks like the firing order is still 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 which is what you want.

Mopar has offered this decal for years; works on any engine with the 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 firing order.

Yes, it's 180º out, but that doesn't really matter. 180º is better than any other "error" since the vacuum advance pot remains in the same position.

Just leave it "as is" until you find a reason to pull the Dizzy.
