Subject: p.s 1956 plymouth dodge

does anybody know if plymouth and dodge used swivel washers between the power steering box( coaxial type) and the frame
like chrysler or just the wedge or does anybody have have photos the power steering box has bevels on both side
of two of the bolt holes and is flat on the frame side where the wedge goes

thanks for the help i found a diagram on line for the chrysler my service manual talks about the swivel washers but no pic i didnt take apart

I found a 1639 652 that was used on 57-58 Std Steering box mounts (see below) and also on the 1960 Mopars. However, there is no indication that this is two-part "swivel washer" like that shown below:

Look for 1639 652 here: http://www.jholst.net/60-parts-manual/steering.pdf (Section 19-02-18)

Further along in that pdf, the Power Steering box mounting washer is flagged as "PLAIN"

I was under my 56 Dodge today and looked up and saw a wedge "washer" under one end of the PS box mount (nothing at the other end). I presume that the wedge is used to make some adjustment.

yes the wedge was used to align the the column to the dash i couldn't figure out the washer arrangement
i was missing one swivel washer i didnt realize they are listed in the parts book until your last post thats when i looked it up and seen i needed 5 i only had 4 and thanks to your photo i have no question on the arrangement this car i am restoring was fully loaded rare for a plymouth power windows power seat a/c and p.s p.b even had a clock
