Member Posts: 13 | Just sharing a few photos of the car I picked up last month. Polished up pretty nicely. I was astonished to find out that the search tune radio, cigar lighter and air conditioning all work. Built in Evansville, and brought back home 62 years later. Do you have the build sheet from FCA? It looks like it has pwr steering, pwr brakes, power-pack, jiffy jet washer, search-tune radio, A/C, safety package, solex glass, bumper wings, twin mirrors, and real antennas.

Member Posts: 13 | Thanks! I agree. I haven't seen too many with the single spear. Simple, elegant and different.

Member Posts: 13 | I don't have the build sheet on it. Other than running the serial number and body number, the car's history is still kind of a mystery to me. I can only imagine that the duel antennas were added on. Though, they are hooked up. All other options you listed are there.... No power pack. Still learning my way around it. By far, the nicest classic I have owned, to date. Edited by Jfhelfrich 2019-05-12 2:41 PM

Expert Posts: 4034 Location: Connecticut | Can you post a photo of the engine compartment ? It appears that this car was restored at some point. Steering wheel was refurbished. Also, the area of the fender behind the grill should be blacked out, even on a white car , IIRC. Still, it's really nice and very unusual to see a non-sporttone car as well-optioned as this one. Elite Veteran Posts: 1115 Location: CA | Ron, Only 1958 cars got the black paint behind the headlamps, maybe late 57 cars but I haven't seen many. I'd love to see the FCA build sheet for this car, very cool!

Member Posts: 13 | It really doesn't matter to me if there has been work done. The car runs well, is straight and solid. I make no claims as to what is original and what is not. I just want to enjoy it as long as possible. (image.jpg) Attachments ---------------- image.jpg (376KB - 195 downloads)
