Location: Perth Australia | I read that the 4 barrel nailhead manifold really benefits from having the individual holes
opened up to make left and right openings into slots. Not sure about how far this one has been done though.
It seems to have a big plenum area, so I would assume better for high rpm

Like Powerflite says..butchered... |

Location: Perth Australia | OK. I wont go as far as that with mine, but I will be either using 2 500cfm edelbrocks
like I did on the dodge or having a go with twin throttle body injection once the Plymouth is on the road (Be done with the 2 barrel first)
With the dodge, to fit the eddies, I had 2 alloy spread bore to square bore adaptor plates
(carbs were advertised as square, but the secondaries were bigger that the primaries) and I
was also having hot starting issues that then required phenolic plates between them and the carbs as well.
I ended up having to modify my air cleaner to fit under the bonnet
Hogging out the manifold to clear the butterflies or at least improve the airflow through the top of the manifold when you need to adapt
to different mountings must improve it somewhat.
If you were able to find and use factory carburettors, then opened up manifolds like that one wouldn't be any good (I guess)
