| Hello oldwood.
The tag:
E5 = 295 = Power Tail Gate Window
H5 = 315 = Heater and Defroster
P2 = 382 = Outside Rear View Mirror with Manual Control
W1 = 511 = Windshield Washer with Constant Speed Windshield Vipers
Y4 = 634 = V8 318ci 2BBL 230HP Engine
Z2 = 642 = Powerflite 2speed Automatic Transmission
8 above V = 588 = Undercoating
1209 = Built on December 09, 1960 (maybe antifreeze code 617 was added)
7666 = Sequence No.
BDY = 367 = Custom Suburban 4door Station Wagon, 9P (V8 Engine)
TRM = DD1 = is not a trim – it’s a paint code = Airforce Blue, Paint Scheme Monotone
PNT 661 = is not a paint – it’s a trim = Blue Cloth and Vinyl Upholstery Combination
523 = 3.31 to 1 Rear Axle Ratio
559 and 569 = 99 = Rayon Tubeless White Sidewall Tires 8.50 x 14 (set of 5)
Unfortunately no information about code 01 on the left top corner of the tag and battery (code 545)

Location: northern germany | That is one nice car! The 9 passengers were rare in 1960 (IIRC 3333 build) so I guess the 61s are even rarer. Always tought the 61 design goes along better with the wagon body style. |

Location: little rock, AR | I wasn't looking for another car but the condition and so little rust swayed my better judgement. I was hoping the motor would free up but didn't. I always knew I'd own another '61. I didn't know it was going to be a wagon. |
