I was wondering if anyone here knew if there was a source for a reproduction rubber trunk mat for the 1957-1958 Plymouths.
I had thought Gary Goers used to sell them, but I’m not certain. I read here that he had sold his business and the new owners carry everything he used to sell. Mopar Mall has a generic looking one,but I’m surprised nobody’s made an exact replica for these cars.

They did, but it was about 15+ years ago. After everyone said they wanted one, very few people actually stepped up to the plate. The guy that made them originally did a run of 25 or 30. After two years, he sold the residual to either Gary or Andy Bernbaum. They are long gone.

Thanks Ron,That would have been about the time I remember seeing them in his catalog. That’s too bad nobody’s making them anymore. I’m surprised more people didn’t buy them when the first run was made.

Forgot to ask,was the same person who reproduced the trunk mats that wound up in Gary Goers catalog the same person who also did the Forward look logo floor mats? Those are really nice. Gary Goers had those in his catalog too and later Andy Bernbaum had them as well.

No. The floor mats came much later. And they are made in China. Don't know who got that project off the ground.

The guy that did the trunk mats owned a rubber moulding company that supplied custom mats and other rubber pieces to the automotive industry. So he had the infrastructure already in place. He also owned a 58 Fury. All he needed was an original mat to make a mould from. Once that was located, he did the rest. The ones he created were better than original, since they were a little thicker than the flimsy originals supplied with the car.

Thanks again for the additional information. I was unaware the floor mats were made in China. I had remembered seeing an old post years ago and thought someone here had made them. I think he had his info in thread so you could order them. Then years later they showed up for sale in Gary Goers catalog ,Andy Bernbaums catalog and on eBay.
Sounds like those reproduction trunk mats were really well made. Too bad they aren’t available anymore. Not much chance of ever finding an intact factory one
