Location: Pacific Northwest | While going through the Valiant I came across a disturbing sight. These are the things you get when buying sight unseen.
I'm going to try a little air and a BFH and see if I can get it to "pop" out.

Location: So. Cal | That stinks. The air is a good idea. Hard to get it to seal, but it doesn't take much psi to move things around. Doing it with a helper and using a hammer at the same time should be successful. Just don't over-apply the air as it can pop it out beyond where it should be. |

Location: Alaska | I think it would be best to try a hard rubber hammer first with the air. |

Location: Pacific Northwest | FAIL!
The air started to work then a crease opened up and that was that.
I bit the bullet and just ordered a new tank and sending unit.
I'll let you know how it works out. |

Location: So. Cal | You're lucky, the Lancer wagon tank isn't available new as far as I know. |
