Location: McCleary WA | Can anyone tell me what the dome lights mount to? They have a clip on the back that apparently goes into a rectangular hole, but into
what? Just the headliner cardboard? My headliner was too far gone to tell. I'm planning to use two - one original was with the car, and I
just got an NOS one on Ebay. If I end up with a cloth headliner they will need to go into something more substantial, and grounded so the switch will work.

Location: So. Cal | My '56 Plymouth sedan light clips onto the the headliner bows. Since you would likely be making custom bows for a cloth headliner, maybe you could use a sedan light instead. |

The ground comes by a wire from b-post
with an cloth headliner you have to tinker something.

Location: McCleary WA | Thank you. That explains a lot, including how the light with a switch is grounded. I'm thinking I will fabricate sheet metal plates that attach to the two stamped steel cross braces. |
