Hey Guy's and Gals

I am looking at FITECH dual 4 throttle body kits, They make a throttle body that's supposed to be same size shape of the original Carter style carb.
I am wondering if any one else has looked at this or know about any other kits available that would work with the original Dual quad manifold and air filters from a 300C?

Basically want to look semi original and run good what do you guys think?

My dad is the shop manager of a local restoration / hot rod shop. About a year ago, they replaced every FiTech system on the premises with a Holley Sniper. Cost be darned. The biggest issue is that the cars would never "learn" properly, resulting in very bad starting issues, stumbles, fouled plugs, and just a generally unsatisfactory driving experience. The customer complaints about the cars running FiTech were affecting reviews and their business reputation.

And that is all I have to say about FiTech.

i would run carbs unless your sitting in traffic, doing long distance all the time. New carbs esp work great. I was going to put a holley on mine but just with with a good elderbrock carb... no monkeying around with fuel lines and pumps and used an electronic pump.. done and done plain and simple with electronic choke.

If you do decide to go with the Holley approach, keep in mind that you will need a new aluminum intake manifold to match the bolt pattern & throttle opening of the new carburetors. You should also decide to block the exhaust crossover as the fuel injection doesn't need it. If you decide to modify your original cast iron intake instead, you will never be able to go back to the original WCFB's because the enlarged holes will cause a large vacuum leak with the original carburetors. You will also have to figure out how to adapt the original air cleaners to the larger size of the holley throttle body. You could make an adapter, but you don't have a lot of hood room to play around with it. Nevertheless, I believe the throttle bodies are a little shorter than the WCFB, so you may gain some space to play with there. This is a picture of an adapter I 3D printed for this purpose so you can see what it would be like. It isn't quite as unnoticeable as I would like it to be. FAST also makes a dual quad throttle body option that is self learning, but I have never tried them to give you any advice about it.

Gotta love anecdotal experience. My experience with FI Tech is the exact opposite. My system has been operating flawlessly for over 3 years with the dreaded Command Center. Never a hiccup.

They replaced 15 systems to your one, so who is coming here with "anecdotal" evidence?

And if you're happy with yours, suggest heading to the forums and clearing up all these issues for other owners. https://fitechefituning.com/fitech-efi-tuning-forum-2/forum/no-power...

they are your best option for carb looking efi... they had more problems early on but best support and best running now.

What about FAST? I mention them because they seem to cater to the dual quad setup more than the others.

i think there is only two companies making these... holley vs the others(eldebrock, summit, fast, fitech-youll notice they all look similar)... Eldebrock owns fast...

holley is the only made in usa, im sure others is probably China. Summits is like 900$ and they all tweak a little
