Curious to know if I have to actually pull out the transmission cable to the speedometer to spray the gears or if when I spray the top of the housing for the cable, it sips in.
I took out the push button to fix it and then sprayed the top of the cable and I swear it stop the rattling sound or more like grinding to like a whooshing sound.
Any advice?

The transmission to speedo cable can be taken out from the speedo end once it is disconnected from the back of the speedo. Just pull it out and lubricate it with light grease and reinstall. That just might solve the problem.

Good luck!
