| I was experiencing the classic delayed engagement into Drive, (Reverse engages strongly and instantly). I let it go for awhile but it got progressively worse to the point that it took about 10 minutes of runtime before it would engage Drive. I decided to do an R&R on the transmission, as when I removed the pan I found some debris (And what looks like an entire, albeit very annihilated) O-Ring. Taking the transmission apart on the bench, I've not really found anything I would identify as a smoking gun, most of the transmission was actually quite clean inside, except for this suspicious looking wear between Unit 1 (Output Shaft, Kick Down Planet Pinion Carrier) and Unit 2 (Sun Gear, Reverse Planet Pinion Carrier). It looks like the 2 faces of these units were in contact. The manual mentions "Caution: Make sure front clutch and sun gear thrust washer remain in position in front of unit". I took that to refer to the OTHER side of the Sun Gear assembly, where there was in fact a washer with 2 tabs on it. The only thing that I see that could act as a spacer here is the needle bearing thrust washer betweeen the 2 units?
