In all the years I've been on the forum (18 years) and into FL cars (48 years) I've never heard of anyone repopping those.

I bought some gear selector buttons from this guy back in 2020 for $100, they were a limited production run so don't know if he still does them! Good luck, Alan.

I think what I am going to do is pulled the chrome metal shell off ,, knock off most of the cracked plastic inside of them out and use a semi clear epoxy to fill the casing shell back up level.

Are the Dodge versions meant to be translucent like the Plymouth versions or are the just solid black?

Here he is in U.S. dollars... I think he is in the states. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125087361271?hash=item1d1fc9a8f7:g:2VcAA... Idaho, I don't know why it reverts to AU. Shows US bucks when clicked.

I'm surprised nobody reproduced those over the years, Imperials are also very prone to sun damage. I remember around 15 years ago I purchased like 4 set of a guy selling the Imperial ones on eBay. They were in an incredible shape, and they were probably NOS, since I couldn't find any sign of damage on them but I have NO idea where they are.

hemidenis - 2022-10-20 6:42 AM I'm surprised nobody reproduced those over the years . . .

I wonder as well, as my design I showed on this site more than 5 years ago (01) (02). 3D-Printers you can get from USD 200 up (03). An appropriate filament is as well availabe (04). Here some tests (05) and an exploded view (06).

Means there are only a few demands for. Thus no other way: Do-it-yourself!  - SERGE -

In simple terms, for us technology-challenged sorts, how do you program the 3-D printer to duplicate a part such as a pushbutton?

You have to use a CAD software (Computer Assisted Drafting) to manually design the button in the computer, Then run it through a software that tells the printer the path it needs to make it layer by layer.

Yes, the one needed is the CAD software to design the part, you can see in my thread "Modeling . . .". From this a STL-File is generated as input for the 3D-Printer. This standard file is done by any 3D-CAD Software. The output of a 3D-Scanner is as well STL. So far so good.

Now to the 3D-Printer. The manufacturer delivers a slicing software, with what the part is being smiulated in the computer and prepared for printing. There are various softwares to download such as PrusaSlicer, idealMaker, PreForm, Chitubox. In this software (needs STL) you configure material, thicknes of layers, speed, temperature, the time needed for print. . . . As soon all is ready you giive then the command to print.

The biggest crux is to get the part in 3D-STL, so it can be used for 3D-Printing.  - SERGE -

For my '57 Dodge wagon we had new shift buttons made by "layer3d innovations llc" in Detroit. Contact is info@layer3d.tech or 248-270-7766. We sent them an old set of powerflite buttons and they made the LOW one into a P for park for the modern trans. They would probably still have the CAD design on file, and some of the powerflite buttons are the same as for a torqueflite.
