Does anyone know whether the Push Button gear shift mechanism is supposed to be lubricated?.... Or left dry?

No service is normally needed, but if you have access to the unit, apply a thin coating of light ptfe grease to the moving parts

I cleaned mine out of debris and gave it a coating silicone spray since it didn't have grease before. Figured it would help on the metal on metal movement a little.
