Expert 5K+ Posts: 9856 Location: So. Cal | It has the same odd original color scheme as was on my Black/White '57 New Yorker. But I don't think it's the same one. There was also a Black/White New Yorker in Deluth MN recently, but those are the closest I have seen to this unless someone has already repainted it a different color. Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10153 Location: Lower Mainland BC | . IF you can see (get a photo of) the cowl (or rad support) data tag, then the paint code should tell the story. Regarding 1957 Chrysler paint colours, one source says "A: Jet Black (300 Only)" and "X: Cloud White" so a black and white car's paint code would be something like XAX (or ???). Hence my "something like XAX (or ???)", emphasis on the "???" (I was just guessing a bit with the XAX) Thanks. It would still be good to confirm the Paint code with the data tag.

Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | Neat car! At that time, if it wasn't a "perfect" New Yorker, it was probably used as a parts car for a 300C. I'd like to be wrong, but that's just reality!

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9856 Location: So. Cal | It looks like the car in Minnesota is now for sale. But he wants a whopping $18K for it, and it doesn't have a windshield either. https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/872782273789729/ (B-W 57NY Front.jpg) (B-W 57NY Rear.jpg) Attachments ---------------- B-W 57NY Front.jpg (145KB - 128 downloads) B-W 57NY Rear.jpg (108KB - 171 downloads)
