Anybody know how to access the parking brake bulb?
Does the chrome bezel with the red indicator just unscrew?

Assuming that a 58 Dodge is similar to a 56 Dodge in this regard, the answer is yes.

The incandescent bulb is possibly a GE 90.

However, at this point you have the option of replacing the assembly with a Grote 49332 LED available from many sources, e.g. O'Reilly's, if they have truckish stuff

I changed the wiring so that the warning light only comes on if the eBrake is pulled and key is in the RUN (not ACC) position

As per this thread, documenting what I did as I followed Del S's (Dels56) lead.

Although the bezel does unscrew, you should be able to reach behind the dash and pop the light socket and wires away from the bezel to change the bulb and then pop it back in - no tools required. Since those lil' red lenses are hard to come by, you might consider replacing the incandescent bulb with a LED.

Lancer Mike, that's the one I have. I did have a perfect a red lens up until recently when I was chasing down an intermittent miss and had the car running with the parking brake on and when I finished I noticed the light was off and the red lens was now melted.

I knew better than to leave the light on and lost track of how long the car was running with the brake on and to make matters worse I didn't need the brake to be on at all.

It was pretty easy to replace.
I replaced it with a Sylvania 90 regular bulb, didn't feel like looking for an LED.
I found that if you drop the E-brake lever by removing a push on washer and pulling the pin, it gives you more room to get your hand up there.

I've tried using a LED in the pb warning light on my '58 De Soto and I can't get them to last. I don't know if they get jostled by the brake lever (doesn't seem right) or what, but I switched back to incandescent too. Just have to be real careful about how long that stays on!
