Expert Posts: 4114 Location: Connecticut | "This hemi engine was an available option for the DeSoto Adventurer model Firesweep and was upfitted to this Firesweep in period correct fashion during the restoration. " Word salad. Translated, it means that this is a 'built' car, rather than something that came off the assembly line. Also, they need to learn the meaning of the word 'restoration'. But, hey, if this is your cup of tea, then go for it. Ron

Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10016 Location: So. Cal | This is most people's "cup of tea". You are in a very small minority to not appreciate a top line engine upgrade in the lowly Firesweep. However, I seriously doubt there is $100K worth of value here. The seller is going to be waiting for a very long time at this price point. A heater delete Firesweep will never sell for that amount, no matter what engine it has in it. Or is that just an assumption on your part ? Ron

Can you post the link to that show ? I never thought that Randy would build a one-of-none car just for resale. But I guess there's one way to find out... Ron Update: Yes, this was Randy's car at one point.

Expert Posts: 2007 Location: Branson, MO | If the passenger rear window was out of adjustment, I would bet that it happened AFTER it left Smitty’s restoration shop. Knowing and working for Smitty (Bob Schmidt) when his shop was in Branson, MO, he would NEVER let that car out with a window alignment that wasn’t near perfect.
