Based on the color and who restored it, I'm led to believe this is Wayne Graefen's car?

Beautiful!  That looks like it would have been a great La Femme combination.  I wonder if anyone has ever put together a La Femme convertible?

I'm unaware of any health issue with Wayne, so hopefully he's just downsizing the fleet as we all do. Definitely wish this was coming at a time when I had some more liquid cash, would love to pick it up!

Very nice car that I would love to own, but that air cleaner has got to go. I know why he used it, to match up to the Holley Sniper EFI underneath it. But it's pretty easy to weld a larger carb opening onto the original air cleaner like I did on my Savoy. Also, matching the ps pump to an alternator that looks like a generator would have been much more aesthetic. But really, if you don't need the amps for a high power stereo or other stuff, why do it? It's just messing with things without reason. Does the EFI system require the alternator?

In my case, the reason would be to better expose the D500 engine (the alternator/Vickers PS pump is much shorter than the OE generator/Vickers PS pump combo). I like the exposure that Wayne's 57 D500 double rocker gets with his combo.

I have tried contacting Wayne to ask whether he could (please) share the details of that alternator/adapter plate/Vickers PS pump combo. So far, no reply.

You might remember I chased this approach before after I found a 56 Chrysler Windsor (poly head) that had alternator/adapter plate/Eaton PS pump. I figured the alternator was from an Izuzu diesel that normally drove a vacuum pump from the back of the alternator but I never found out the details of the adapter plate.

A year ago, I bought the Izuzu alternator and found a very talented graduate of Vanderbuilt University Engineering School who designed an adapter plate to join it to the P/S pump. However when he asked for estimates to fabricate the adapter, he got quotes of 2 days work at $175/ hour. I decided to find an another method of providing the amperage to run my new Vintage Air system. Anyone want to buy a never-used 12335 Izuzu alternator? Still in the box.
