Hello everyone I just bought a 57 dodge with a 325 engine the charging system isn’t working I have no current going to the generator. What voltage regulator is good to go with. What’s the difference with a gga and ghm generator.

Of course you know that the generator creates the current and the regulator limits the output (to around 13.9 volts, when properly adjusted).

I had issues with my charging system and it turnout to be a problem with the generator and required replacement of the armature. Just sayin'

I think that a 57 Dodge used a 1642 333 regulator. There are several available on the internet:
