Location: North Germany | Does anyone know the size of the large nut used to tighten the steering wheel onto the shaft?
Mine is damaged and I can't measure the inch thread. It seems to be a fine thread ( UNF )
I haven't found anything in the documentation.
Maybe I can order the nut somewhere.
Roger

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Yes Roger, as for 1960 I know. It's 3/4-20 UNEF threads. I checked with Zollshop, but I only found the tools (not cheap) https://www.zollshop.de/de/Gewindeschneidwerkzeuge/Handgewindebohrer...
That said, check your equipment at work, in the best case there's a lathe with a Norton gearbox - if so, you cut the threads easily. work in small steps of one tenth of a millimeter. I just refreshed my knowledge of thread cutting last week, it takes some time, but it's worth it if you cannot find a certain thread.
Please check your nut inner diameter for to be sure that it's the same thread and diameter for 1960 (or the spare part manual).
Below, please find the spare part # for 1960.

Location: North Germany | Hello Sven,
thank you very much - this helps a lot. I found something with your datas in the swiss : https://www.britishparts.ch/products/mutter-3-4-unef-x-20 for a good price.
I will check on other places or i order this one. It`s an ordinary nut but i can use loctite.
The next possibily was an offer on Egay for 44€ plus charge
Thank you
Roger
