Elite Veteran Posts: 699 Location: Los Angeles, California | Picture isnt the best but picked up this 1960 Desoto Fireflite coupe something I have wanted for 10 years thanks to John Fowlie. I think its original color was Adobe Rust? Optioned with Power Steering, Power brakes, padded dash, remote drivers side mirror, solex tinted glass, washer jets and bumper guards? Not sure if its a 361 or 383, has a 4 bbl carb but single exhaust. G4 V1 Y8 SO NUMBER 0301 3024 BDY 712 TRM 814 PNT YY1 Edited by 57Kelii 2024-02-29 11:42 PM (2024-02-29 20.30.17.jpg) (2024-02-29 20.32.22 copy.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 2024-02-29 20.30.17.jpg (201KB - 67 downloads) 2024-02-29 20.32.22 copy.jpg (166KB - 60 downloads)

Expert Posts: 2042 | Mope R. Geezer - 2024-03-02 11:03 AM Fireflites got the 361, Adventurers got 383's. You are right, Bill. These engines were standard. Kelii said about 4BBL engine and single exhaust; 361 engine has not factory 4BBL option, so I think this car has 383CID 4BBL engine and Single Exhaust option, code 355: (1960 DeSoto Optional Engine Codes.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 1960 DeSoto Optional Engine Codes.jpg (131KB - 66 downloads)
