      Location: So. Cal | Do you have original A/C? The original air conditioning compressor had an oil line to them.
The best way to replace them is to take them to a good, preferably old, hose shop and have them make up new ones for you. |

The HVAC recirculating door power piston is actuated by engine oil pressure tapped from the same source as the oil pressure gauge and is then returned to the oil pan.

My '57 300C had factory A/C and that cylinder leaked...positioned right above the gas pedal, it would drip on my foot. This was the early seventies and no replacement could be found, so I fabricated a sheet metal tray under it to funnel the leakage out through the firewall. |
