Hey guys, just wanted to share some photos of my new 1958 plymouth. I just bought her from a very cool guy in the midwest, she is a complete restored rust free car in very nice condition. I recently had her repainted and installed my Fury trim which I had been collecting for 2 years. She has a 318 with dual 4's. She is mechanically sound a drives like a dream, truley one of the cleanest 58's I've seen yet.

What do you guys think?

That is beautiful, man!! I really like the night shots, that sportone really gleams! I'll bet your neighbors are green with envy!

When you say you installed Fury trim, what trim are you referring too?

Hi Mike! Good for you man!!!! I'm happy for you! I also want to Thank You for some beautiful pictures that I stored in the computer for wallpaper! You got so many GOOD shots, I'll probably be switching them everyday! That's not to say that I don't have my own 58 to drool over! I do! She's pretty sweet too! I just consider myself VERY lucky! With the number of people that aren't lucky enough to have one, it's ALWAYS nice to know that some people get to see their dream come true! I'm also rooting for the people that are still trying to get one!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm very lucky to own one of these rare classics, its been a dream of mine since I was 10 years old to own my very own turn key 58, I'm very blessed. Glad you like the photos Belvedere. Savoyboy the Fury trim, well what I really meant is the sporttone stainless pieces and insert for the bodysides.

Absolutely awesome, Mike!

You must be a true diehard to collect the full sportone trim set. I know those don't just grow on trees! Did your Belvedere start life as a Savoy? I would love to see some pictures of the interior and the engine if you have them. It looks like a beautiful restoration...very straight and clean. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Mike:

Is that what became of this car? I think I recognize the rear deck antennae...
I like what you've done with it!

Lancer Mike, Yes that is infact what happened to that car. The two photos below show before and after when I got her home followed by the transformation to Christine.

Hey Mike:

Great work! I prefer what you have done with the car, and I really liked it as a Savoy! I remember seeing the continental kit for sale on eBay. Did you have to redo the interior? From the photos I saw, the interior looks like a Belvedere, with the cloth all the way up on the back rest. I'm not quite as familiar with the Savoy interiors, though. I'm glad you replaced the '57 wheel covers on the Savoy. Those really looked out of place. It looked like they had a radial pattern machined into the factory set. I bet there is a story behind those! You might want to contact Mel Bohnenkamp about the rear wings. I traded one rear wing to Mel about two years ago, he may have an extra set...

Yours
Mike

I too like the Christine look much better than the continental kit. There's something very Fomoco about continental kits that don't look right on Mopars.

Look awesome Mike! I agree with the others, the Continental kit doesn't look right on Mopars. You did the right thing. Enjoy your new ride.

Looks good. Much better then before. Since it is a Christine clone, and you live in sunny California, I think you should tint the windows. It doesnt have to be an extreme dark tint, but some tint would be cool

again thanks for the comments guys, I'm glad to hear some support on what I did, I knew the continental kit had to go right away. I have her paid in full she did not set me back to far , between the sale of my other 58 and other loose ends I sold I was able to buy her. It was just good timing.
