(1 Comments) This emblem in the center will let you know what type my other car is.Anyone know??? These are not perfect. I'm still just learning how to do this...in fact this was my very first try at it.. | these are for my other car waiting in line behind the 58.Do you like the design? I thought they looked early custom with the over stuffed tuck and roll pleets. With a sorta forward look era to them too!!! | this is all the rot that i have this far cut out of my car ...i didn't want to have to go this far but i found out that by getting any closer to the rot...you end up just blowing holes in the metal because it's too thin to weld and you just keep trying to save the pan. at that point -more or less chasing yourself into more work then if you had just cut it up passed it and graphed in new larger patch pan.you can see that i tried to save the rt. side lower fender sec in this photo...and kelp having this problem as said about above. | Me, not in car fixxing mode!!LOL!! This ones for the guys!!
me in (work)/ car fixing up mode /LOL !! Like us southern folks say. | remember a small brush tree had hit the roof ...can you tell which side it was on? the roof also had some minor hail damage on it too. some lite pitting of the metal in places which i clean with a wire brush and filled with sealer and glazing putty which you can see the putty in this photo it will be sanded dn. with 1000 grit. | i made this metal pan. /welded it in .This is the first of mudding it in...i'm trying to keep the body filler very low on this car.
rt. side fender rot /almost as bad as the driver side was once it was stripped and you could really see the raw metal.i had installed a small patch. to try and save it but then found pin holes that i tried to weld close...which i gave up on and cut the whole sec. out /made this larger patch -welded it in. | wheel well /lip view of completed fender. | Another shot of completed driver side fender. | the car will be blocked sanded before the real paint go's on ...i've been doing this to ck. my body work by and plus keep the new metal protected.
