Hi John,

I've heard of that book, but I think they made the Fury generic to all '57
Plymouth models such as the Belvedere, Savoy and Plaza, as well as the
Canadian models - weren't they called Mayfair's?, that had Dodge or DeSoto
front clips with the rest being Plymouth.  Their VIN assignments per plant
are correct, but I'm not sure their intent was to strictly specify the
Fury
as being built in all plants.  I think they mentioned Fury only to show it
as a Plymouth model line, and then let their VIN info take you back to the
proper plant it was built in.

Our '56 Registry only has Evansville numbered cars, and '57 Registry only
has Detroit numbered items.  I can't believe only Evansville '56s survived
or only Detroit '57s(you'd think if they were built in Los Angeles, you
would have more of those left due to being delivered predominantly out of
the rust belt).  For '58, a different story, with Fury's built in several
if
not all plants that year - and yes, it seems we have more LA built Furys
left again to being delivered outside the rust belt?!.
