When the factory took promo pictures they took whatever parts they needed 
from any type car that was on the line at the time of the picture.  So if 
promo pics had black rims they could have come off a Chrysler that was
being 
built on the same line.  

Ed and Glenn-I don't think that any '57 Plymouth had black rims.  Body
color 
or silver.  I'm pretty sure those were the only colors available.  Body
color 
rims may have had the crappy blue-gray on the reverse side.  The silver
rims 
on my original car were silver on both sides.
