I have an early draft of Christine (a reviewers/editors copy) and the
car was still a '58.  That was before the movie deal was made.

I also wanted to imform you that Christine was
originally supposed to be  1957 plymouth fury not a
'58. When the movie was to be made at the time they
could not find enough '57s ,so the car was changed to
a 58.
