In the Christine book, King calls the engine about four or five different
cu.in. and mentions a single carb. and back doors. The movie car had a 350
in it. The 318 cu.in. Dual Fury V-800 engine was supposed to be used only
in
the Fury, but some police cars and a few special order cars got the
engine,
too. King admitted he was never a car person. The car he is shown sitting
on
on the back of the hard back book is a 1957 Plymouth.
