Re: [GFS] Tulsa Status

Jack,
I still would like to be in the open car show even if we only have 2 Furys.
At this point my 58 is still being assembled. As it sits today, the
drive train is done except the carbs need to cleaned again, the brake
cylinders need to be checked for leaks the fenders, hood, trunk lid need
to be bolted on and I am still scrounging nuts and bolts. Then my buddy
and I will spend about 4 weekends prepping and painting. Then final
assembly, trim, bumpers etc. I had wanted to start this last November,
but a death in the family and other things delayed me.
I know it won't be show quality, sort of a survivor with new paint.
I sure hope that anyone with a finned mopar shows up. A coworker said
why did they do a dumb thing like using a Plymouth, everyone knows a 57
chevy is more popular.
I don't want to see Tulsa full of chevys like the 1976 show I went to
when the only Chrysler product between 1949 and 1962 was my 58 Fury
(1500 cars at that show and at least 20% were 55,56,57 chevys.
Mike
