Re: [GFS] WHY THE SPRINGS BROKE ON MISS BELVEDERE

John,
Miss Belvedere can be restored but it will take alot of hard work and time. There will be alot that will need to be done her motor torn down and rebuilt transmission over hauled , new interrior , body work , rechromimg . I'm sure she will need to get an off frame restoration as well. If Tulsa would of put her in above ground vault then she would not be in this condition. I have also seen a old photo of her with her front windows cracked this is probably her interrior is ruined. I'm sure the other things will need to be done as well on the restoration. If she can talk I know she would say this. " I need to be restored and I want to be put back in the way I was when I 1st rolled off that asembly line. If you Tulsa folks would of put me in above ground time capsule then I would not be in this condtion."

          John,
You are correct. I was there for the presentation as
were a lot of our other proud Plymouth owners. I know
there were a lot of tears as she was uncovered. Also,
the thought of having Boyd Codington and his team of
butchers there made everyone I spoke to even more
upset. The car is way beyond any thought of restoring,
and I feel she deserves her place as a museum display
and left to rest in peace. Several of the local
Plymouth Owners I spoke to are sick about the way this
whole situation was mishandled. They told me anyone
that knows anything about Tulsa's high water table
would have never buried the car this way. It's a very
sad ordeal.
