The transmission casing ( housing ) should be that good looking alum/ silver 
colour that MoPar used during that era.  Look on the casing for a stamped 
number.  Is the number 1854167,  1949277,  2204753 or  2204693 ?  The higher the 
number the newer and more heavy duty the transmission is.

The Powerflite was dropped from Imperials as soon as the three speed arrived.
