Re: IML: RoadTrip! Help is out there.

Harvey & Peggy,

Precisely for this reason, those clever folks who run the web site created "The Imperial Highway." Click on the link below and you will find, by placing your cursor over the relevant state, Texas, for example, a list of all the places with a helpful Imperialist in the vicinity. Click on the state and a list of people who should be able to help you in each city will appear. The list is only comprised of people who volunteer to be on it. There are a bunch of 68 owners in the Dallas Metroplex area, as I recall.

Here is the link:

Good luck on your trip. With the amount of preparation you have don, I hope you don't have an eventful, in the unpleasant sense of the word, trip.

Hugh

First let me say I'm a reader, not a writer so let me know if this isn't the place for this.

I'm going to be driving my Imperial from North Carolina to Texas next Monday and Tuesday (March 28th and 29th). I've had a lot of work done to the car engine, transmission rebuilt, rebuilt carburetor coolant flushed, etc.but just in case I encounter the unexpected and unknown, I'd like to get some idea of who some of you folks might know along the way in case I'm in need of mechanical repair.

My route will take me down I85 to Atlanta and then I20 from there to Dallas. If you're aware of any mechanic along the way or close by that route, if you'd give me a shout back, I'd enjoy my trip a lot more without worrying about the car the whole way. An alternate path would be I40 through Tenn and down I30 in Ark but I usually travel the lower route but I'm flexible.

I drove the car from Ohio to California back in 1985 and I had a nightmare out on the Indian Reservation with my distributor shaft and I'd like to avoid a repeat.

I really enjoy the information from this list and the discussions that go on. It's very informative and I hope to meet some of you folks out and about along the way.

I feel like a kid waiting to open up packages at Christmas.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help!

Harvey and Peggy
