Re: IML: Window motors

There is a place here in Saint Paul that does an excellent job of
re-building alternators, starter-motors, and any other kind of automotive
motor, so last year I brought in a couple of spare motors for the windows of
my 1963 Crown and had them re-built; I think they charged me somewhere in
the neighbourhood of $40 or $45 each, and compared to the motors with which
I replaced those two, they run like brand-new. The name of the re-builder is
G&R Motor Rebuilders, on Prior Avenue in Saint Paul- I'll find the address
and telephone-number and post them here. they have re-built starters and
alternators for me for almost 40 years, and I've never had one from them go
wrong. Besides, they really like my cars and ask me to bring them by, and I
suspect (actually, I KNOW) that they have always given me a price lower
than their standard retail one.
