IML: How many vinyls in '66?

I recently bought a '66 LeBaron project to go with my '66 Crown Coupe
project. Both have what I believe are the original black vinyl tops in
excellent condition, but the texture is not the same.

The LeBaron's vinyl is smooth with veined grooves, a pattern like the veins
in a leaf. Feels to the fingers like leather. The Coupe's vinyl is much
coarser, with short ridges that are all more or less oriented linearly from
front to rear. Feels to the fingers like tree bark.

I know this was an extra cost option available on all models. I have seen
other Crowns with the same vinyl texture as my coupe, but I haven't seen
another vinyl-topped LeBaron up close. Could buyers choose among different
vinyl textures in '66, or was there one style for the LeBaron and another
for the Crowns?

Thanks,

David
