Depending on how much money you want to spend, I would look at a new distributor. I believe that you already have the ignition without point, so it is a relatively easy and cheap swap.

I do not know if this has been covered or not but try to set timing,that could be it or the dist oil pmp drive could be worn allowing for erratic timing,.could also be the things you described,I did not see what all you have done to it,so I am comeing at this fresh.
