Richard, the carb is the last thing that should be tweaked.  Too many hobbyists make a change to the carb to try to compensate for a problem in another system.
 
Taking your car to a reputable performance tuning shop is one of the smartest things you can do.  They will tell you if you have a vacuum leak, ignition system issue or other problem that needs to be fixed before making the final carb adjustments.  I can't recommend it highly enough.  If you need to find out who is reputable, your local Mopar club should be able to help.
