Hi all -

Using the P/N I found for the first series compact starter
(P5249644) , the best price I found was
about 1/2 of what I just paid at:

Could be a great price, even with shipping to anywhere.

This business was unknown to me and is a great source of info on the
"big block" engines generally - photos of the different block
castings are very informative.  The business is in Lancaster, in the
high-desert about 75 miles north of Los Angeles, for what that's
worth.
