RE: IML: Overdrive axle?

If I'm not mistaken Kenyon, Gear Vendors doesn't deal with axles, just
transmissions and the overdrive units that attach to them.

I the old days (I'm dating myself now) many trucks would have a 2 speed rear
axle. These were not big-rigs, just your average 3/4 to 2 ton type of
truck. Not sure if that would work in your application.

Subject: IML: Overdrive axle?

Where would one get such a thing?
How would one get lug-spacing that would work with
stock wheels (or would you change wheels?)?

I am considering the Gear Vendors $3000 unit.

I am interested in hearing what you know that prompted
such a query. I'd consider doing such a conversion
for the custom 72 that I'm doing.
