Re: IML: 1956 C-70 Crown Imperial Limo

Not to over simplify, but wouldn't it make sense to trns-plant a later 8.75 rear end . I did this to my 62 300H , we couldn't remove the brake drums for a brake job.I happened to have, an 8.75 from a 68 NYer. Yes the brakes, were 11x2, not 12x2, but every thing worked fine.Just a thought, and I wouldn't leave it parked for that. Ya'll have a nice day. Dave.

Imperialists,

These cars bring you many places, some in your own back yard where one would never expect interest......
I have been challenged by a no-tech across town neighbor who owns a 1956 C-70 Crown Imperial Limo (never knew it as it stays in storage generally) and is need of a drivers side rear hub and drum. ONLY a 1956 C-70 Crown Imperial Limo hub and drum will fit, there are no substitutes, according to him.  I have used all conventional Imperial sources and none have been able to help.  I s there anyone in Imperial-land that knows of a venue/connection,or   even better knows, directly where I can get one?
He claims to himself have spent time over the years and has fairly given up.  I told him not quite yet.............

Thanks in advance for any leads.
