Re: IML: Removing paint from a light lens

Hi Patrick,
I'd try a little automotive rubbing compound.

Does anyone have advice about removing automobile paint from a light lens? During the recent repaint of my '69 Buick vehicle, the license plate light lens that's under the truck "lip" over the license plate was painted along with the rest of the trunk. I want to clean it off without disrupting the lens, which appears to be plastic. I took it off today and tried nail polish remover and lighter fluid (not at the same time) to no avail. I hesitated to try paint thinner lest the plastic melt.

(ahem) This may happen again when I get my Imperial painted, so there's some relevant content. I don't want to ask the Buick club. The IML always seems to have better advice.

Anyone? Anyone?

You can keep tabs on the dates for this show and other LA-area events on the
website of its sponsor, Chrysler Performance West.

For the record, save the date for the two-day Spring event, with judging on
Sunday:

It would have been nice to find out about the event before it happened!

I would have attended!
